WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR/MANAGER
KINGSWINFORD
£25K – £27K (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

My client, a local manufacturing company , are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. This is a key appointment with responsibility for managing, organising and planning the warehouse and an opportunity to make your own mark in an expanding business.

Duties:
Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Manager
Assisting with the management and organisation of 3 warehouses and off-site storage within a fast-paced environment
Planning for incoming deliveries, liaising with sales, purchasing, admin and marketing departments
Control of stock and further development of the stock control system
Stock rotation and control of goods expiry dates
Opportunity to introduce new processes and computerised systems e.g. barcoding, batch codes, expiry dates and packaging requirements
Monitoring damages and discrepancies
Hands on role working closely with the warehouse staff involved in picking and packing of consignments, loading goods onto/from vehicles
Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines including safe storage of goods
Warehouse Health and Safety checks
Liaison with freight and courier companies
Operating FLT as required
Supervising Warehouse Assistants
Disposing of waste in an environmentally compliant manner
Person Specification:
Min. 4 years' experience within a fast-moving stores environment
Knowledge of warehouse inventory management systems with strong numeracy and IT skills and keen to implement technology
Accustomed to forecasting and planning movement of stock
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise across multiple departments
Able to work effectively within a team and make key decisions
Highly motivated and capable of working under pressure
Strong organisational skills, flexible and proactive approach
FLT Counterbalance licence
Experience of working in a chemical store preferred but not essential

Hours of work: 8.30 am – 5.15 pm Monday – Friday with 1 hour lunch (plus breaks)
Holidays: 20 days plus statutory Bank Holidays (increasing to 23 days after 3 years and 25 days after 6 years)
