SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants required in Wolverhampton.

Start date: September 2021 – Ongoing (long-term)

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ certificate in Children’s Learning and Development or equivalent?

Do you work well independently and as part of a team in some really lovely SEND and Secondary Provisions?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join our team of Teaching Assistants and work in Schools around the Wolverhampton area.

TeacherActicve are working closely with one mainstream secondary school in-particular that has a need for at least four new members of staff in the SEND Department starting in the new academic year. The needs of the groups of pupils at the school are classed as mild to moderate, so candidates are required to have experience with Autism, ADHD, Asbergers, challenging behaviour and other disabilities in these categories.

Full time & flexible part time schedules are available.

All applicants must be NVQ Level 3 qualified and have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.

The role will include:

Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
1:1 work with students who require additional support
Leading group work
Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
