Focused and motivated Sales Executive or BDM needed for a thriving software business in the Midlands, who are proven market leaders in their niche area of supply chain & stock / inventory planning software solutions. The environment here suits people who are decisive, creative and happy to take risks and find novel ways to win new clients. An ambitious, driven Solution Sales Specialist would fit perfectly with this energetic group of 250 people. £50-70k base salary, double OTE, plus car allowance.
Home and office based with travel to client sites where deemed necessary, your role will be the full new business sales cycle, and will include some of your prospecting. They have a 2-person lead generation team and a marketing department, plus in the head office there is a fully coordinated global marketing team. But you will need to find some of your own clients too, so you should be someone who is happy to make the calls, research, and convert these prospects into customers. You are great in front of clients, you can talk coherently about their business needs and how the right software can increase their profit margins and bring added value.

You've sold solutions such as supply chain, stock & inventory, ERP, e-commerce, Omni-channel retail, PLM, logistics & distribution, demand planning, fashion & apparel or similar
You forge strong, long lasting relationships with your customers
Sales success with software solutions, licenses (SaaS), professional services consultancy, and integrations
Dedicated to achieving excellence and revenue growth, and a consultative sales person
Happy dealing with C-suite executives and selling into the wholesale, retail and manufacturing space
You celebrate the "no" and use it to increase the "yes" Their product is all about the risk of stock versus the risk of waste, available warehouse space, in-store shelf space, and stock re-distribution. Their supply chain solution never sits alone; it links with existing ERP solutions or WMS or e-commerce products etc. So you will need to understand how everything fits together, how the software integration will work and how that can be sorted out. This can be a real stumbling block for clients to get their heads round, so you will need to deal with it early on; hence previous experience of selling "software integration" type deals is very useful.
Potential clients vary from wholesalers with one location, to the massive global retail & supermarket chains, indeed, any company that has multiple product lines. Merchandisers and buyers get significant value from the software solution; it is a simple ROI. A typically deal is £40k worth of services and £3k per month in licenses. The biggest deals are worth £750k for a global roll out.
The forecast is very positive here as their supply chain & inventory solution is especially applicable to fast growing companies selling through e-commerce, which is an area that had grown vastly over the past year or so.
