An excellent opportunity is available with a leading banking institution based in Birmingham City Centre for a Recovery and Resolution Planning Specialist to join the financial market infrastructures team who ensure the bank makes applicable assessments and documents the appropriate contingency strategies that could be used in a stress or recovery scenario. The business are currently home working with a view to a balance of office and home working once current restrictions ease.
You will have exposure and work collaboratively with numerous Bank businesses and have extensive internal senior stakeholder contact. You will also gain a thorough understanding of a wide array of securities and cash products and external market institutions.
Author and refresh contingency strategies
Analyse and interpret global regulatory guidance and enhance existing contingency strategies to meet the requirements
Engage with Business, Operations, Treasury, Legal, and Risk Management functions to gather input on applicable contingency strategies
Perform quality and consistency reviews of contingency strategies and maintain static database
Perform mock drills as required by local regulatorsThe Recovery and Resolution Planning Specialist will possess experience within a financial services environment having undertaken a role with extensive documentation requirements. This may have been within a regulatory or a compliance role or in a banking operations role within clearing or settlements. Additionally you may have operated within the legal sector and be open to a change in to a financial services role. You will have strong analytical skills and excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels of seniority. You will have ability to understand, interpret and draw conclusions from research conducted on regulatory guidance and regulations. You will have excellent research skills including experience with online search tools and a strong attention to detail with advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications
