Project Manager – F&W- 6 months FTC – circa £40k

Overview;
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global brand for a senior Project Manager with experience delivering Facilities and workplace projects ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role;
·Responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of agreed projects of operational buildings. This includes projects associated to building fabric, Facilities business systems and workplace and department development.
·To be a key contributor in effectively delivering the project list including development of business case, project resourcing, financial accountability, project planning and delivery.
·Management of project contractors and consultants activities, ensuring that project requirements are met and delivered within cost, on time and to quality requirements.
·Identify buildings related innovations, develop strategies and methods for continuous improvement to maximise value and quality.

Responsibilities;

·Responsible for the delivery of F&W projects ensuring that all works meet requirements and standards.
·Ensure compliance with health and safety processes, all statutory/ mandatory requirements, including: Building Regulations, site review, CDM, method statements, risk assessments and site inspections.
·Preparation of specific information for the project business case, development and design briefs.
·Preparation and delivery of written periodic project reports relating to: feasibility, risks, project plan, proposals, progress, and forecasting.
·Preparation of risk registers and subsequent management of the agreed mitigation/ management strategy.
·Tender and procure consultants, contractors and equipment services to agreed project plan and procurement procedures and processes.
·Undertake project tender exercises and evaluate subsequent bids and returns to agreed written process including interviews, scoring and detailed analysis.
·Monitor and report periodically on budgets and cash flow to ensure project costs are kept within budget and best value is achieved to the business case or better.

Requirements:
·Demonstrated experience and understanding of current Health & Safety requirements including Construction Design and Management, H&SaWA, Statutory Compliance etc.
·Commercial experience with strong business acumen, including preparation, management and control of budgets.
·Experience of writing business/management reports including business cases and strategic papers.
·Experience of engaging, negotiating with and influencing decision makers within an organisation.
·Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills.
·Lead with strength and credibility; demonstrate authority and accountability for actions, decisions and effective functioning of the team.
·Motivated and organised with a desire to improve performance and deliver exceptional results.
·Strong attention to detail and able to operate independently under broad direction.

Package:
·Circa £4Ok basic salary
·6 month FTC
