Project Manager – Social Housing Refurbs

Salary £54,000 – £58,500 + package (dependent upon experience)

A superb opportunity has arisen for an experience Project Manager working within the decent homes and regeneration market. Our client provides affordable housing and property refurbishment services across the West Midlands region. They have amassed a number of residential refurbishment contracts with contracts values in excess of £35m in the region.

The Project Manager:

Ideal Project Manager would have worked previously on Decent Homes Social Housing programmes as a Project Manager, having worked on kitchen and bathroom, roofing, new heating and boilers, windows or EWI contracts on voids or tenanted properties.

The Project Manager will be overseeing any of the above schemes, looking after a couple of schemes at any one time, with section managers reporting back to you on progress. Whilst you will be expected to report into a visiting Contracts Manager on a daily / weekly basis.

The Project Manager will be required to be out on site driving the Subcontractors and be responsible for Health and Safety, quality, KPI's and short-term programme.

This person must be cable of managing all aspects of the production works (be standalone), be dynamic and eager to drive projects forward.

Duties include:

Responsible for day to day Health and Safety on site
Responsible for Quality control.
Interfacing with end-users/tenants where required.
Daily/weekly planning and monitoring against short term programme
Material requisition to meet programme requirements
Sub-contract and direct labour control and management
Initiate and maintain site records in accordance with Company process and procedure.
Liaison with tenant liaison officers
Experience working for a Decent Homes Contractor
Supervising contractors on site

Ideal candidate will have previous decent homes experience within the social housing sector consisting of internal, external on high- or low-rise properties.
