Primary Teaching Assistant Opportunities in Sandwell
Are you based in the Sandwell area?
Are you looking for a new opportunity in the education sector?
Does having flexible work hours that fit around your schedule sound appealing?
If so, there is no better time than now to join us at Hays Education. With a current high demand from Sandwell primary schools for teaching assistants, we are looking for new staff to join our every growing team. Currently, we are working with several primary schools in the Sandwell local authority including Oldbury, West Bromwich, Tipton, and Rowley Regis.
These schools are currently looking for versatile teaching assistants who can cover sicknesses, holiday leave, staff shortages or staff going on courses. All work will be planned and prepared to deliver and full handovers will be provided for each cover day. Currently, there are a lot of opportunities that are long term and hold the potential to become permanent!
The role of a supply teaching assistant requires versatility and flexibility. This is because you could be based at a single school over a long term period or several schools in the area over the course of a working week. Having good behavioural management and a thorough understanding of the national curriculum is key to being successful in this role.
We offer all of our supply teaching assistants the opportunity to receive on-going training and CPD through regular free events that we host.
You must hold teaching assistant qualifications or have recent experience in order to be considered for this role. Ideally you will have a DBS on the update service, if not, we can apply for one on your behalf. We will also require 2 satisfactory references.
What you'll get in return
Here at Hays we offer several benefits:
You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience.
You will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year.
You will receive free, up to date safeguarding training.
You will also have a consultant available to you who will support you throughout your role.
Also there are opportunities to earn £250 in vouchers when you refer a friend to Hays.
