Learning Support Assistant – Birmingham

From September a large primary school in South Birmingham – going towards Rubery – are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them in a Key Stage 1 class from September.

Long term, term time role – 5 days a week
Working with lower ability pupils
£60-70 per day
Graduate or Level 3 TA qualification required
The school, a three-form entry primary, have a need to boost learning across the core subjects as well as provide some catchup support for pupils that have fallen behind due to home schooling.  Some pupils require extra support in order to meet the required progress, especially in literacy and mathematics.  Working in small groups as well as with the whole class the recruited Teaching Assistant will work closely to the class teacher’s plans.

This position is all about attitude and flexibility.  The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is really looking to get the most from their classroom experience whilst simultaneously providing a high level of support and tuition.  Flexibility is required as you can never be sure what challenges and situations you might face in the classroom.

The school is a warm, supportive and positive environment where everyone is encouraged to learn, be that staff and the pupils.  This is a fantastic position and the chance to work alongside some inspiring teachers and support staff.
