Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnering with Advanced to support the appointment of an Operations Director. Advanced is looking to recruit to the Board an outstanding Operations Director to help take the business to over £50m revenue over the next 5 years. The role sits on the executive leadership team, reporting to the Managing Director. The position is a healthy mix of operational strategy, coaching, supporting the team, and building relationships both internally and externally. As a director of the company, the role requires someone who can challenge and support across the different parts of the organisation.

What will you be doing?

* You’ll form part of the Leadership Team, playing a crucial part in the development of the business both strategically and operationally.

* Deliver an operational base to support the ambitious growth targets of the business.

* Coach and support team members to maximise performance and drive the right culture through the organisation.

* Ensure that staff have the tools, development, and structure to achieve high performance and enable the development of talent.

* Lead and coach the team to build ownership and accountability.

* Partner with key stakeholders including the broader Leadership Team, system partners, and wider Halma family to deliver growth in a sustainable, customer-centric way.

* 5 Reports (Supply Chain Manager, Electronics Production Manager, Stores & Metalwork Production Manager, Engineering Manager & Quality & HS Manager), 130 employees in Operations.

What will you be doing?

* A proven track record of operations management, ideally in the electronics manufacturing environment of engineered products.

* Experience of delivering operational excellence activities and creating lean environments.

* Strategic thinking – able to assess and move forward key driver for success.

* Experience of managing, coaching and developing, ensuring collaboration across teams.

Location & Remuneration

The company head office is based just north of Newcastle (NE12 8EW). Given the nature of the role, it is anticipated that the candidate would be able to be on-site for a significant portion of their working week. There is an attractive salary plus an exceptional bonus, company car, pension, healthcare, and share options.
