An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK.
My client is one of the largest housing providers with a generic housing management and supported housing services.
My client is looking for Wake Night Support Worker in Hereford working with young people (16 – 25-year-olds), on an initial four-month contract with the view to a permanent opportunity.
This is a full-time role, the hours are 21:30 PM – 7:00 AM.
The pay rate for this role is 10.20 PAYE or £13.15 Umbrella.
Candidate will require an Enhanced DBS check.
Day to day duties will include:
To work with the residents of the supported accommodation within a team rota over 7 days 9.30pm-7.00am in order to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 16-25. Each shift to be for 8 hours with 1 hour break working 3 nights on 6 nights off.
To provide a comprehensive housing support service to young people within Herefordshire in order to achieve the outcomes specified by the clients Housing Related Support for Vulnerable People contract.
To provide mediation services or support to the residents to ensure a safe and harmonious living environment.
This will include running and participating in group and training activities and assisting with planning.
To manage the accommodation building as a lone worker and deal effectively with issues of anti-social behaviour, health and safety and /or housing management issues.
Assist with the assessment of young people for support eligibility and agree support tasks and outcomes to be achieved.
Assess the risks for each service user, yourself and other residents and ensure that this is reviewed and updated regularly.
Assist the manager/deputy manager in reporting outcomes and preparing residents to move on from the Accommodation. The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Support Worker including:
Previous experience of working with young people aged 16 – 25 preferably in a residential setting
Knowledge of Herefordshire Safeguarding processes
Knowledge of support needs of young vulnerable people.
Experience of person-centred key working
Experience of working with people in crisis.
Awareness of good practice in relation to Health and Safety procedures
Computer literate in Microsoft Office
Management of a supported housing environment
Knowledge of working within a multi-agency environmentThe Rewards:
