My client have been successfully manufacturing for years. Boasting one of the best reputations for hiring maintenance engineers and keeping hold of them. They are constantly innovating and bringing new ideas to the market, this has enabled them to grow from strength to strength and are currently expanding due to a full order book. They are looking for an electrically biased maintenance engineer, not a superstar (yet!) they will provide an unbeatable training including PLC training and on-going support to take you the next level of your electrical career. The Engineering Manager has been there since his apprenticeship and worked his way up so will show you the ropes and help follow the same career path if you want it.

Benefits:

Structured progression plan where you can earn a basic salary of £48,000 as a technician

Great basic salary + overtime

Informal and formal training opportunities including in depth PLC training

Progression into more senior roles down the line

No Nights

Great staff retention

Experience required:

Qualified to level 3 (NVQ/C&G) or Apprenticeship served in an electrical discipline

Is advantageous, this can be through the military (ex-forces)

least 3 years experience maintaining/repairing special purpose machinery

Good electrical competence – wire and fault find on 3-phase motors, knowledge of contactors, sensors relays etc

PLC knowledge is desirable but not essential – training is available
