My client, a leading business to business magazine and website for the charity sector, is seeking a multimedia journalist with an interest in the third sector and leadership issues.
The offices are based in Central London, but currently hybrid working is on offer.
Joining a small team within a friendly publishing company, this role will involve writing in-depth features, research reports, news analysis, guides and other editorial content for the websites and its print magazine. Some duties will involve working closely with clients and/or charity CEOs on in-depth features and interviews.
The ideal candidate will be a confident writer with a journalism qualification. The role will require some public-facing, online and speaking duties for conferences, podcasts, roundtables and webinars, therefore an interest in networking and developing public speaking skills is essential.
Candidates must be keen and willing to adapt to and learn about a variety of topics affecting charity leaders, ranging from workplace culture, mental health and diversity to technology, finance and investment.
The ability to produce engaging, clean copy covering a range of charity and leadership issues under tight deadlines.
Concise news and feature writing with the ability to find the news 'hook’ for every feature.
Articulate and self-confident in engaging with clients and sector figures, including conducting interviews and hosting/presenting podcasts, webinars and roundtables where necessary.
Clear communication style and ability to plan, organise and manage concurrent projects.
Actively promote content across social media channels
Compose and send e-newsletters.
The ability to research and assimilate new information and topics quickly.
Salary 24K – 27K depending upon skills and experience.
