We require an exceptional policy development officer who can reimagine and develop HR&OD organisational wide policies that will support our new ways of working. As we develop new policies, rethink our traditional approach and develop new practices from conception through to implementation through the lens of Organisational Development.
Our return to buildings roadmap that will run parallel to the governments roadmap, strategic future council work and year zero priorities of our new people strategy require a number of complimentary pieces of work to support and sustain the workforce in the next 2 to 12 months. The priorities identified are essential as we plan for the forthcoming 12 months of ensuring a safe and healthy working environment as we transition out of covid into more sustained and refocussed working arrangements.
Key areas of work will be:
a. Researching and benchmarking industry trends and best in class for new areas of work
b Reimaging our approach to and policy framework for a number of key policies such as bereavement, grievance, dignity at work, performance management development, hybrid working and home working policies.
c. Refresh of existing HR policies in line with newly developed definitions and decisions arising from roadmap, FC and People strategy
d. Development of fact sheets / toolkits / FAQs both employee and line manager led
e. Working with the learning team develop e-learning content and training to support implementation
f. Engagement with employees and managers to shape the work
g. Liaison with trade unions
