Housing Repairs & Maintenance Officer

North Kent – with regular national travel

£23k – £25k DOE + (mileage contribution)

A fantastic opportunity for a Housing Repairs & Maintenance Officer has opened for a self-motivated and methodical individual looking to join a well-established company!

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a reactive office-based role and confident in scheduling contractors into accommodations to complete general property checks, inspections, maintenance, and repairs work.

Duties include:

Schedule and organise all property check and inspections when required
Liaising with customers on date requirements and contractor's availability
Manage all incoming email and telephone enquiries
Ensure that all statutory inspections are undertaken as required, addressing any issues, and ensuring compliance is achieved
Providing contractors with correct and relevant information to complete jobs
Using an in-house system to plan/ prioritise and schedule contractor's workloads
Assisting and solving any issues on site and contacting customers to ensure they can complete the work, offering excellent customer service
Regularly attend meetings with housing partners
After service checks to ensure all responsive and completed repairs are completed to a high standard and to the budget given
Update CRM with all completed and scheduled works
Travelling regularly to multisite and accommodations nationally to oversee repairs and inspections
Various other ad-hoc duties as required

The right candidate will have/ be:

Previous experience of working on a reactive maintenance helpdesk or, overseeing and arranging accommodation repairs
A full UK Driving License and willing to use your own vehicle to travel nationally when required
Experience of collaboratively working across a geographical dispersed organisation delivering property maintenance services
Excellent knowledge of property maintenance including responsive repairs, planned maintenance and cyclical decoration
Confident in liaising with third parties and meeting contractual requirements
Computer literate and MS Office confident
The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise a demanding workload
Strong communication skills
