Global Logistics Manager – UK or Europe – Up to £70,000

Our client is on the lookout for an experienced Global Logistics Manager who has experience in developing global logistics networks. They are experiencing incredible growth within the industry!  If you have a proven track record of developing logistics sites in Europe and APAC regions working with 3rd party suppliers then this could be a great opportunity. Global Logistics Manager – The Rewards

Salary up to £70,000 
Flexible on location (UK or Europe)
Flexible on working 3 or 4 days a week Global Logistics Manager – Responsibilities  

Own and grow the relationships across all warehouse and logistics service lines globally
Manage global courier relationships, challenging 3PL providers with a view to reducing issues and maintaining service levels
Deliver effective performance management across all logistics spend
Maintain knowledge and keep up to date on European and global customs clearance legislation including updating the wider business around HS code amends and country of origin statements/proof as per 31.12.21 amends to regulations internationally
To continually review and implement new ways of working across the logistics category
To be the subject matter expert and go to person for the end-to-end process for importing and exporting goods, either internally or via its logistics supply chain partners
Provide ongoing training to core business areas regarding export requirements and offer ongoing assistance and guidance to the wider business
To develop and deliver logistics strategies and processes that add value to the business and its clients
Act as Group SME for the logistics category requirements and attend project meetings for new business
Be the subject matter expert in providing help and advice on Anti-dumping duties, countervailing charges, embargos and dual use items compliance for Europe and RoW
To work with and assist the Group including Group Tax Manager re duty and tax relief in EU and third-country licensing requirements Global Logistics Manager – Requirements 

Demonstrates the ability to understand the technical requirements of the logistics category, working closely with internal clients and suppliers to provide and maintain suitable, competitive, risk free supply chains
Show a strong understanding of logistics supplier management, including developing strategies, analysis of supplier risk and the mitigation of this through business continuity and exit planning
Excellent understanding of the operational and regional variations of CPC codes, ATA Carnets, VAT, commercial documentation and invoices and other customs paperwork
Working knowledge of relevant country logistics contract law
Effective contract and vendor management skills
Monitor supplier performance creating best practice and feeding back to internal client and supplier
To be able to produce and maintain process maps and forms required to gather relevant info from clients including a FAQ/Info sheets to be sent to clients
Able to understand business priorities and client needs to develop appropriate sourcing plans and outcomes
Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to customer/stakeholder service
To guide the business units in producing supplementary declarations needed for Northern Ireland Protocol and respond to TSS requirements
Support where needed with export concerns/queries and facilitate customs clearance in a timely fashion
Give support and advice to the Logistics operational teams in filing documentation to finance for relevant Chambers of Commerce / HMRC / other authority audits
To support reconciliation of duty invoices and international courier invoices reporting back to the manager any unexpected or unusual charges to ensure costs are being correctly captured by procurement, estimating and account management
