Engineer – Multi-skilled Electrical bias
Location – Wolverhampton

To reduce risk to the Company from existing and future legislation by ensuring engineering, technical and specific transport operational compliance with legal obligations and Company policies and procedures.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, repairs to machinery and general buildings maintenance. Responsible for the upkeep of equipment, manuals and procedures necessary to fulfil these tasks. Provide service to Operations in order to maximise efficiency's.
Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:
Liaise with operations regarding opportunities to undertake servicing to maximise productivity within the facility
Carry out tasks in accordance to meet all operational demands
Work to improve Facilities Key Performance Indicators
Optimise machine availability to meet all operational demands
Ensure compliance with Health and safety, Environmental and other relevant legislation
Provide support and assist in implementation of projects when necessary
Maintain planned maintenance records and provide an accurate history of the equipment to aid fault finding
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
The knowledge, experience and skills required to undertake the level at a fully competent level:
Education & Qualifications
Qualified electrical/electronic engineer
Time served Multi-skilled Engineer
Knowledge of PLC's and control circuits
Previous facilities management experience within a warehouse / transport / manufacturing operation
Operational knowledge and application of current Health & Safety, Environmental legislation, Quality Assurance controls and COSHH requirements.
Experience of maintain systems within a 24/7 working environment
Prompt fault finding and efficient maintenance planning ensuring maximum up time of all Automation and Non-Automation systems
Experience of ensuring prompt, flexible, customer focused specialist engineering support whilst maintaining compliance with statutory, regulatory and engineering standards.
Work safely within the Health, safety and environmental guidelines and insists others do the same. Strives to reduce the number of Health & Safety related incidents involved year on year.
Achieves work targets and is willing to take on additional roles/ responsibilities. Continuously reviews current processes. Look for best practice solutions to problems. Demonstrates energy, enthusiasm and commitment.
