My client is a leading brand within the construction arena – they have their own style, approach, culture and progression opportunities, unique to them as a business.
They are a top tier new build contractor who are currently seeking a clerk of works for their London division.
You will be the lead contact for the board and report directly into the Managing Director.
Your role will be to oversee the quality and safety of work on a construction site, making sure that building plans and specifications are being followed correctly. Duties include:

Performing regular inspections of the work on site and comparing completed work with drawings and specifications.
Measuring and sampling building materials to check their quality
recording results.
Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them liaising with other construction staff, such as contractors, engineers and surveyors.
Monitoring and reporting progress to construction managers, architects and clients.
You may also be responsible for supervising the workforce on the building site during a project. You will be working across all major projects in London with values between £80M – £115M. The ideal candidate will be someone that has a background in Project management on major projects for a tier one main contractor and has a good understanding of projects, processes, quality, health and safety.
This is a very senior role and my client is looking for a person with over 20 years experience in the construction industry who can advise and implement processes.
