Main Duties and Responsibilities:
– The role will include developing strategic sourcing models and options across a portfolio of spend categories.
– Managing the end to end sourcing process through to negotiation and implementation of new service requirements as necessary. Include preparing and measuring performance metrics and providing contract management support where necessary to ensure supplier performance is maintained.
Implements Supplier Relationship Management with strategic and key suppliers, driving additional value and continuous improvement
Measures and reviews supplier performance, implementing improvements through development programs
Resolves serious supplier performance issues
Identifies and delivers cost savings and cost reduction programs
Ensures full compliance to agreements and frameworks
Gathers data, liaises with stakeholders and identifies business needs
Carries out tender activities and conducts negotiations, selects strategic partners and awards Frameworks
Supports the development of junior staff where necessary
Creation, implementation and management of category plans
Sets clear and ambitious objectives both financially and operationally, managing progress throughout the business year
Supports the promotion of the Procurement function and engagement with Stakeholders via the Procurement Survey
