BIM Manager for Construction and Property development company. Head office near Edgware, sites within M25. To oversee all BIM related functions and support the Construction and Commercial teams. This is a live and current requirement. A negotiable salary of £60,000 to £70,000 plus company benefits and bonuses is available.
To head up the BIM team and manage the implementation and delivery of Building Information Modelling at both project and business levels. Champion the cultural and process changes that are essential to adoption of BIM technologies and new ways of working.
Recruitment of appropriately skilled BIM Coordinators/BIM Project Managers for deployment on projects and tenders as/when required.
Functionally manage dedicated BIM coordinators/BIM Project managers at project level. Actively develop skills and capabilities of team and ensure deployment is appropriate to project and business needs.
Understanding and capability in relation to the various pieces of commonly used software and technology.
Directly interface with other parts of the organisation to promote best practice.
Market company BIM capability as necessary to external clients and consultants.
Champion the benefits of BIM internally to existing staff and teams to ensure the necessary culture change is continued.
Plan roll out strategy and agree and report on to Management Team.
Ensure continual improvement of integrated management systems.
Stay abreast of new and future technologies.
Ensure robust process and procedure is deployed to securely capture and store project data.
Develop evidence-based cost/benefit data in relation to current projects to validate investment that may be required.

Proficient in the use of software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manager and Solibri model checker, BIM 360 Field, BIM 360 Glue
Familiar with data exchange formats such as DGN, DWG, NWD, IFC and COBie
Familiar with Common Data Environments (CED) their application, administration and setup.
Experience with the creation of project BIM documentation including BEPs, MIDPs and others.
Excellent report writing, presentation and public speaking skills
Knowledge and Experience:
Have a good working knowledge of industry standards such as ISO(phone number removed):2018
Previous practical experience of 3D modelling, embedded data, collaboration and coordination software.
Previous experience of model validation and checking.
Relevant degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years recent experience in a building/ MEP construction role
Demonstrate an understanding of the construction industry in the context of BIM
Line manager experience
Resources ~People and Budgets:
Functionally manage existing and future project-based BIM coordinators.
Define and manage agreed budget on yearly rolling basis.
