An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Brand Manager to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum, based at their prestigious facility in Blackfriars, London (to work from home until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted). This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25-hour week, to start ASAP (1 month notice periods are the maximum that can be considered). This role is paying up to £35,100 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Dove Hand and Body operates with a two-tier strategy; the Upper Tier is a premium range bringing advanced cosmetic benefits and the Base tier which offers consumers superior care for everyday needs.

We are looking for a creative, self-motivated, and highly skilled Assistant Brand Manager to join our Dove Hand & Body Upper Tier team.

Key Responsibilities

Working directly with top skinfluencers, beauty experts and skincare lovers, your goal is to craft and launch innovations that will democratise the biggest skincare trends, utilize the most innovative technologies and deliver impactful innovation to our target audience. You will need to juggle trend-driven, big picture strategic thinking with an excellent attention to detail in execution.

What this means:

Project Management: lead global innovation projects; working with cross-functional teams incl. R&D, Supply Chain, CMI, Finance

Product & Packaging Development: craft superior premium products that will enhance the Dove Hand & Body purpose by delivering to Dove's Product, Planet and People philosophy

Claims Development: work with key partners (R&D, legal, technical, regulatory) to define claims and pack copy for our products that are relevance for the audience

Insights: generate strong insights that will help guide the innovation roadmap and actively contribute by identifying opportunities across consumer demand spaces, geographies, retail channels

Comms & Content development: lead comms development including delivery of digital marketing campaigns, search, and omnichannel assets for e-tailers including all e-commerce content and full shopper toolkit. Support the Senior Brand Manager in developing new unmissable communication campaigns that stand out in culture, and work with world-class communication agencies to translate campaign ideas into digital communication assets

Key Requirements

Must be an experienced Assistant Brand Manager, with experience including global brand development. Previous Unilever experience is highly preferred.
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced setting under tight deadlines with strong project and time management skills
Are creative, confidence and self-motivated
Have strong organisational and teamwork skills
Are on the front line of culture and commerce with an eye for beauty and a personal passion for skincare, beauty & trends
Led by your purpose, to have positive impact on society and the environment
Have excellent knowledge of content platforms current best practices, technologies and creative standards
