Academic Voice Coordinator
Salary: £20,604 to £23,059 per annum, plus excellent holidays and contributory pension scheme
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Working Location: Warwick SU, Coventry, West Midlands, UK (please note there may be working from home requirements due to current UK government guidelines)
Warwick Students’ Union is looking to recruit an Academic Voice Coordinator. This role forms an integral part of the Academic Voice team, advocating for the student voice and managing the academic representation system that facilitates this. You will support the Academic Voice & Policy Manager, Full-Time Officers, and other academic representatives in their work, ensuring that students remain as the focal point of what we do.

What’s the job?
As a member of the Academic Voice Team, you will help champion and empower our students in their academic lives. The team will deliver one of Warwick SU’s major priorities – an inclusive, effective, and impactful Academic Representation system for students. We want to enable students to have the highest quality academic experience and your role will be to make that a reality.
The Academic Voice team aims to transform the way we represent students in their education, it is an exciting time to join us. You will play a critical role, focusing on key departments in the University and developing effective partnerships between students, academic staff, and the Students’ Union.
If you are passionate about supporting students and promoting their voice, and you have the ability to broker partnerships and deliver positive impact, then the role could be for you.
Who you are:
As the first point of contact for queries relating to academic representation, you will help to build positive and effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, from students through to academic staff, contributing to the formation of sustainable partnerships between the University and Students’ Union.
You need to have a positive attitude and the ability to build a rapport with a range of people. With an eagerness to engage with students and improve their experience, you should have robust communication skills, the ability to prioritise and organise your time effectively and work productively within a close team.
